Westpac Appoints Anthony Miller As New CEO, Succeeds Peter King

Miller joined Westpac in 2020 from Deutsche Bank where he served as the CEO of Australia & New Zealand operations

Westpac Banking Corp has appointed Anthony Miller, currently the head of its business and wealth division, as the new chief executive officer and managing director. Miller will officially take over on 16 December, following the retirement of current CEO Peter King, who is stepping down on 15 December after a 30-year tenure at the bank, including five years as its CEO.

Miller joined Westpac in 2020, bringing with him extensive experience from his previous roles as CEO of Deutsche Bank's Australia and New Zealand operations, co-head of Investment Banking for APAC, and 16 years at Goldman Sachs.
