A&M Appoints Kunwar Vijayant Singh & Ranajit Sahu As MDs
Prior to joining A&M, Singh was a Partner at McKinsey & Company and Sah led the Metals & Mining practice for Accenture Strategy in India
-Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) India, has appointed Kunwar Vijayant Singh and Ranajit Sahu as Managing Directors. These appointments underscore A&M’s commitment to strengthen its leadership bench and enhance its capabilities to deliver bespoke solutions to clients across energy and resources, metal and mining sectors.
Based in Delhi, Singh brings more than 24 years of experience, with specialisation in digital and analytics-led transformations, holistic operations improvement, and business strategy. He has deep expertise across sectors such as metals, mining, chemicals, auto & auto components, electrical products, and heavy engineering. Prior to joining A&M, Singh was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he led McKinsey India’s Materials and Advanced Analytics in Metals practices, delivering measurable results for clients across geographies including India, China, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the US. He holds an engineering degree from IIT Delhi and an MBA from IIM Calcutta. At A&M, he will be co-leading the Energy and Resource Practice for A&M India, along with Vivek Kamra, a seasoned operator turned consultant professional.
Sahu, based in Bengaluru, joins A&M with over 13 years of experience in strategy consulting and industry roles, with a focus on large-scale business and digital transformations. He specializes in operational excellence, mega capital project management, and EBITDA improvement programs. Sahu previously led the Metals & Mining practice for Accenture Strategy in India, spearheading major transformation projects, including the digitalization of operations for the world’s largest coal mining company. Sahu earned his bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering from the College of Engineering & Technology, Bhubaneswar, and a postgraduate diploma in management from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai.
