HCL Tech Employee Dies Of Cardiac Arrest At Nagpur Office

A 40-year-old senior analyst at HCL Technologies, Nitin Edwin Michael, tragically passed away from a cardiac arrest while at work in the company's office in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The incident occurred on Friday evening when Michael was found unresponsive in the washroom around 7 p.m. by his colleagues at the Mihan area office. He was immediately rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Nagpur, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The police have registered a case of accidental death and sent the body for a postmortem, which confirmed cardiac arrest as the cause of death. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Michael is survived by his wife and their six-year-old son.

An HCLTech spokesperson expressed condolences to the family, noting that emergency support was provided at the company’s on-campus healthcare clinic before the employee was transferred to the hospital. The spokesperson highlighted that employee wellbeing is a top priority for the company, which offers healthcare programmes, including on-campus clinics and annual preventive health checks for employees and their families.
