Saurabh Saksena Steps Down As President Of VML

With over 30 years of experience, he has excelled in advertising, consumer behavior, integrated marketing, marketing communications, and country operations

Saurabh Saksena has decided to step down from his position as President of VML. In his role, he achieved significant business outcomes through innovation, brand building, data utilisation, deep consumer insights and a collaborative, solution-focused approach.

Announcing his departure on LinkedIn, Saksena expressed his gratitude: “A rewarding stint at VML India draws to an end, as I’ve decided to move on. Thanks, Jon, Beth Ann, Beth, Stefan, Hari, Marc, Bernadette, Nick, Camellia, Symon, Aarti, and the rest of the team, for the great time I had working with you. A shout-out to Audrey Kuah and Yi-Chung Tay for taking VML, APAC, to greater heights.”

He continued, “On a personal front—something exciting is cooking! I will announce as soon as I am ready. Stay tuned!”

Before his tenure at VML, Saksena served as CEO of VML Y&R from 2022 to 2024. Prior to that, he was President of Red Fuse Communications from 2019 to 2022. His earlier career includes a decade-long stint at J. Thompson Worldwide in leading roles from 2009 to 2019, and he was the Publisher (Head of Bangalore edition) at Mid Day from 2007 to 2009.

Saksena also held positions at DDB Mudra Group, Ogilvy, and Clarion Communications, where he began his career in 1993. With over 30 years of experience, he has excelled in advertising, consumer behavior, integrated marketing, marketing communications, and country operations. He has worked with numerous global and Indian brands across various categories such as CPG, retail, food and beverage, technology, telecom, automotive, e-commerce, oil and gas, and restaurants.
