MK Anand’s Era At Times Network To End

Anand's connection with the Times Group spans nearly three decades, most recently as the managing director & CEO

Times Network Managing Director and CEO MK Anand is nearing the end of his management contract with Bennett Coleman and Co. (BCCL) after more than a decade of service.

Anand, who was set to retire later this year, has already withdrawn from the industry organisations he was involved with, according to media reports.

In a recent development, Times Network has appointed Varun Kohli as Chief Operating Officer for its News Broadcasting business. Kohli, who previously served as Director & CEO of Bharat Express, is expected to take on a leadership role following Anand's departure.

Anand's connection with the Times Group spans nearly three decades, with a four-year hiatus during which he worked with Disney UTV and Bloomberg TV India. He rejoined BCCL in January 2014 as Managing Director and CEO of Times Network, succeeding Sunil Lulla.

During his tenure, Anand played a crucial role in steering Times Network through various challenges, including the significant transition period following Arnab Goswami's resignation as Editor-in-Chief of Times Now. His leadership was marked by a strong emphasis on delivering reliable news, embracing technological advancements, and navigating the digital era's complexities.

Before rejoining BCCL, Anand gained extensive experience in the media industry.
