On the 21st of November 2023, the National Human Resource Development Network (NHRDN), Delhi & NCR Chapter officially disclosed the leadership transition for the forthcoming two-year term. This significant announcement transpired during the "Celebrating U" event, meticulously organised by the network, which served as a reflective platform on the notable journey of the outgoing members.
The esteemed outgoing members of the NHRDN Delhi & NCR Chapter—Yuvaraj Srivastava, President; Mussarat Hussain, Vice President; Agniwesh Thakur, Secretary; and Sonal Kapur Sinha, Treasurer—gracefully handed over the mantle of leadership to the incoming leaders of the network.
In his inaugural address, President Yuvaraj Srivastava, Group CHRO, MakeMyTrip highlighted, "It is truly an honor to be associated with a fraternity committed to a pro bono agenda. Over the course of my two-year tenure at NHRDN Delhi & NCR Chapter, I have gleaned invaluable insights from fellow HR seniors and mentors. The experience has underscored the significance of listening leadership, the art of appreciation and the transformative power of humility."
Expanding on the achievements, Srivastava added, "Our strategic focus at NHRDN over the past two years has been multifaceted. Primarily, we dedicated efforts to augmenting our membership numbers, a goal realised as we extended our footprint to Manesar. Secondly, we engaged with leaders across diverse agendas and perspectives, acknowledging the contributions of senior and young members alike. Lastly, our unwavering commitment was directed toward elevating the network to greater heights with an overarching not-for-profit agenda."
Elections for the NHRDN Delhi & NCR Chapter Executive Committee (EC) were held in October 2023. In the recent leadership transition, the Delhi & NCR chapter of the National Human Resource Development Network (NHRDN) welcomed Anurag Malik, Partner at EY, as its President, along with Renu Bohra, Chief People Officer at DB Schenker, as the Vice President. Bhavna Batra, Executive Director & Global People Planning Leader at S&P Global assumed the role of Secretary and Ajmer Deshwal, HR Head at Bellsonica Auto Components India as the Treasurer.
Expressing gratitude for his new role, Malik stated, "I am thankful to EY for enabling me to take on this responsibility. As the President, my focus will be on expanding our network of HR leaders and professionals, nurturing young talent into future leaders, promoting skill-building initiatives, fostering quality thought leadership, and advancing a national agenda."
The newly elected EC will focus on Learning, to enhance the caliber of the HR fraternity and create impact for society at large; Meaningful Action, by spurring awareness and encouraging actions to be taken by the members in their context; and Inclusion, by listening to and celebrating new and emerging voices and thought processes so that the network is constantly evolving and contributing to nation building.
The event also witnessed the felicitation of accomplished HR leaders, including P Dwarkanath, Director, GSK CX at GlaxoSmithKline; Rajeev Dubey, Group President (HR & Corporate Services) & CEO (After-Market Sector) at Mahindra & Mahindra; GP Rao, Founder & Managing Partner at GPR HR Consulting; Aquil Busrai, CEO at Aquil Busrai Consulting; Asha Bhandarker, OB Professor at IMI Delhi, among others.
NHRDN, as a national apex body, is dedicated to championing the people development movement nationwide. It aims to enhance the capabilities of human resource professionals to compete globally, thereby contributing value to society.
