Landmark Group Appoints Shashi Gumma As MD & CEO, SPAR Hypermarket

 Landmark Group, India proudly announced the appointment of Shashi Gumma as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for SPAR Hypermarket.

Sashi is a retail expert with over 25 years of experience in both B2C and B2B grocery formats. Prior to joining SPAR, he was the COO for Metro Wholesale in India, and before that, he served as the CEO for More Supermarkets. He has spearheaded numerous projects and initiatives, driving transformational changes in his previous roles.

Expressing his enthusiasm about his new role, Shashi shared, “SPAR has a strong brand image and recognition in the markets that it operates. It has a rich heritage, strong experience in Indian grocery market and has a passionate team of Professionals in India. Am very keen and eager to build SPAR into a network that provides a great experience to shoppers and create strong patronage with them."

His passion for building strong leadership teams, ability to drive transformation, and focus on sustainable growth will be crucial as SPAR enters the next phase of business. Sashi holds a BTech degree from IIT Kharagpur and a PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad.
