KV Subramanian To Be MD & CEO Of Federal Bank

Subramanian is set to assume his new role on 22 September, with a tenure of three years

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has sanctioned the appointment of Krishnan Venkat Subramanian as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Federal Bank, according to a filing made by the bank on Monday.

Subramanian is set to assume his new role on 22 September, with a tenure of three years. He will succeed Shyam Srinivasan, whose term concludes on22 September.

In its exchange filing, the bank stated, “Following our application submitted to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on May 6, 2024, for the appointment of a new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, the RBI has approved Krishnan Venkat Subramanian as the Managing Director and CEO, effective September 23, 2024, following the end of the current Managing Director and CEO's term on September 22, 2024.”

Previously, Subramanian held the position of Joint Managing Director at Kotak Mahindra Bank until 30 April 2024. In that role, he led various divisions including Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, Private Banking, and Asset Reconstruction.
