Gensol Engineering has announced today the appointment of Rajesh Jain as a new independent director to the Company’s board of directors (the “Board”).
Jain is currently the member of the Governance Council and Chairman of the Audit Committee at the Shiv Nadar Foundation. He has recently retired as a Senior partner at Walker Chandiok & Co LLP, a large and well-known Chartered Accountant Firm after serving them for over 20 years and was instrumental in their Growth in India. He has more than 45 years of professional experience and through his career he has held several senior management positions at various organisations across India, Malawi and Zambia. He was one of the Founding partners for KMPG in India and has played a pivotal role in the evolution and success of the firm, dedicating over 24 years to its growth across India and Africa. Prior to his tenure at KPMG, he has worked with BDO and E&Y in India.
He has vast experience in the field of Indian and International Auditing, Mergers & Acquisition Advisory, Corporate Governance, IPOs, Accounting Advisory, Mentoring Entrepreneurs and helping companies scale up. His industry exposure amongst others, include Information Technology, Automobiles, Energy, FMCG, Banking & Finance, Real Estate, Hospitality and Social Sector.

Mr. Jain is an FCA, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is an ex-charter member of TiE and has been an Angel investor in startups. He is actively involved in corporate social responsibility personally and professionally, including extensive Grant audit and consulting work with NGOs such as the Gates Foundation, Smile Train, CARE and others.
