The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) has recommended Challa Sreenivasulu Setty for the position of Chairman of the State Bank of India (SBI).
The FSIB interviewed three candidates on 29 June for the Chairman role at SBI. Based on their performance, overall experience, and other relevant criteria, the Bureau selected Setty for the position, as stated in a press release issued by the FSIB.
Setty, currently serving as the Managing Director of SBI’s Global Markets & Technology wing, joined the bank’s Board as Managing Director in January 2020. He began his career with SBI in 1988 as a Probationary Officer.
Setty will take over from Dinesh Kumar Khara as the new Chairman of SBI.
