Danone has appointed Shashi Ranjan as the Managing Director for Danone India, effective 10 May. With a career spanning over two decades in corporate leadership, strategic management, and organisational transformation, Ranjan brings a wealth of expertise to drive Danone's growth and innovation in the dynamic Indian market.
In his new capacity, he will lead Danone's strategic initiatives in India, with a focus on expanding the company's footprint, strengthening partnerships, and fostering sustainable growth.
Prior to joining Danone India, he served as President & Country Head of Sebamed in India. He has also held significant roles at Johnson & Johnson, McKinsey & Company, and IBM Consulting, in addition to serving the Government in various general administration and strategy roles across different regions of India.
Christian Stammkoetter, President of AMEA at Danone, commented on the appointment, highlighting Ranjan's extensive experience and proven track record in the consumer goods industry, making him the ideal candidate to drive Danone's growth and innovation agenda in this pivotal market.
