Anu Pires Joins Valmet As SVP- HR
With a background in HR leadership, Pires has extensive international experience working with multinational companies across various countries and sectors
Anu Pires (M.Sc. Econ) has been appointed Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Valmet, effective 1 September 2024. In her new role, she will report directly to the President and CEO and will join Valmet’s Executive Team.
Pires transitions to Valmet from the Paulig Group, where she has served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources since 2018. With a rich background in HR leadership, Pires has accumulated extensive international experience working with multinational companies across various countries and sectors, including industrial and consumer businesses. Prior to her tenure at Paulig, she was Vice President of Human Resources at Lumene from 2017 to 2018. She also held various HR management positions at Outotec from 2016 to 2017 and served as Head of HR for APAC Mobile Device Sales during the Nokia integration at Microsoft from 2014 to 2015. From 1998 to 2014, Pires held several HR management roles at Nokia, working in Brazil, China, and India. She began her career in human resources as an HR trainee and specialist at Valmet from 1996 to 1998.
Pires will be based at Valmet’s headquarters in Espoo, Finland.
