Amazon India has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Labour and Employment, enabling the use of the National Career Service (NCS) portal to post job opportunities across Amazon and its staffing agencies. This collaboration aims to provide job seekers in India with easy access to Amazon's available positions while helping the company efficiently source candidates through the Ministry's extensive database.
The MoU is designed to connect individuals with job opportunities that align with their skills and qualifications. Job seekers registered on the NCS portal will be able to explore and apply for a variety of roles within Amazon's corporate offices and operations network. The partnership will enable Amazon and its staffing agencies to streamline the recruitment process and hire candidates for roles across the country, including those in underserved communities such as women and persons with disabilities.
Deepti Varma, Vice President of HR/ People Experience and Technology at Amazon Stores for India, Japan, and Emerging Markets, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. She highlighted that by using NCS's vast network, Amazon can create greater awareness of available job roles, improve the matching process, and make it easier for job seekers to find opportunities, especially in underserved regions.
This initiative will provide registered job seekers on the NCS portal with a seamless experience in searching for and applying to relevant roles at Amazon, according to the company’s press release.
