Wipro has rolled out a new hybrid work policy requiring employees to be in the office three days a week, emphasising a balanced work environment that promotes innovation through in-person collaboration while also accommodating personal needs.
Saurabh Govil, the Chief Human Resources Officer at Wipro, announced the policy, highlighting its aim to enhance both employee well-being and overall performance.
Under the new policy, employees can select their in-office days based on collaboration needs, retaining the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days. This hybrid arrangement is designed to empower associates, allowing them to seek remote work on specific days throughout the year, particularly when they need to focus on personal well-being or caregiving responsibilities.
Govil articulated that Wipro’s approach combines flexibility, trust, and collaboration as core principles guiding the company’s progressive vision for the future of work. He stressed the importance of meaningful collaboration in driving innovation and success, asserting that the new policy is a contemporary and best-in-class arrangement.
As part of Wipro's commitment to a high-performance work culture, the policy also recognizes the need for sensitivity and inclusivity, promising to accommodate employees with special needs during critical times in their lives. By adopting this hybrid work model, Wipro aims to create an environment where employees can thrive both professionally and personally, reinforcing its dedication to “profit with purpose.
