Tech Mahindra stands out by announcing its intention to hire 6,000 freshers in the upcoming financial year, in contrast to many peers who remain cautious about sharing specific hiring targets amidst market uncertainties.
While Tech Mahindra witnessed a sequential decline of 795 employees in total headcount for the fourth quarter ending 31 March, the full-year FY24 saw a reduction of 6,945 employees. This marks the second consecutive financial year of decline in employee numbers, with FY18 being the previous instance.
During the results conference, Mohit Joshi, MD & CEO of Tech Mahindra, highlighted the company's commitment to fresh graduate recruitment, aiming to absorb over 1,500 fresh graduates each quarter and adding a total of 6,000 freshers annually. He emphasised the company's focus on training programmes for these new recruits under the guidance of the newly appointed Chief Learning Officer.
Joshi expressed confidence in Tech Mahindra's strategy of integrating fresh talent into its workforce, signaling a proactive approach amidst evolving market dynamics.
