Shirin Salis Named Chairwoman, CII Indian Women Network (IWN) Southern Region

Trane Technologies is pleased to announce Shirin Salis has taken over as Chairwoman of IWN Southern Region for the year 2024-25.

Shirin Salis is the Vice president of Human Resources at Trane Technologies India. Salis joined the organization in 2012 and led the human resources function through the spin-off of Ingersol Rand’s industrial segment that created Trane Technologies in 2020. Salis’ continued leadership with both companies has helped both organizations win noteworthy accolades in workplace culture. These recognitions include being listed among India's 100 Best Companies to Work For and India’s Best 25 workplaces for women, highlighting the commitment to creating inclusive and diverse environments.

In addition, Trane Technologies has consistently been certified as one of the Top 100  Best Workplaces™ in IT and IT-BPM by Great Place to Work and recognized as one of India's 50 Best Workplaces for Fostering a Culture of Innovation. Shirin's efforts have resulted in the creation of a high-trust and high-performance environment in both organizations.

Shirin's achievements include being recognized as a "Woman Super Achiever" and one of the "100 Most Influential Global HR Professionals". She also featured in YourStory's exclusive list of "100 Emerging Voices" and was one of the five finalists in the HR Leader of the Year category at the ET Prime Women Leadership Awards 2020, as recognized by the Economic Times.

Shirin has been closely associated with CII IWN since 2016, and has served as the Past Chairwoman, IWN Karnataka (2020-21); Lead & Champion, IWN Southern Regional Vertical Council on Mentorship (2021-23) and Co-convener for the Environment & Sustainability panel for CII Karnataka (2022-23).

She strongly believes that women need more opportunities to enhance their skills and pathways to re-enter the workforce after taking a break. “Today, more than ever, we are witnessing a higher rate of participation by women in the workforce. It is our goal at CII IWN to enable women to become better professionals and achievers in their respective fields, promoting their participation, growth and leadership as well as creating an ecosystem that encourages them to continue their professional journey and build inspiring careers.” she added.
