PESB Recommends Ajay Kumar Sharma As Director (Personnel) Of SJVN

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Ajay Kumar Sharma for the position of Director (Personnel) at SJVN, a prominent Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Power. Chosen after a rigorous interview process conducted on 24 May 2024, Sharma emerged as the top candidate among eleven contenders. Currently serving as General Manager in the Corporate Human Resources department at SJVN, Sharma has been with the organisation since October 2009.

Ajay Kumar Sharma's tenure at SJVN has been marked by significant contributions across various HR domains including Personnel Planning, Administration, Industrial Relations & Welfare, HR Policy, Training & Human Resource Development, and HR Procurement. He has also provided crucial support to the Director (Personnel) and the Chairperson & Managing Director of SJVN. Before joining SJVN, Sharma served at Steel Authority of India from 1996 to 2009.

Born on April 8, 1974, Sharma originates from Khargat village in the Sihunta subdivision of Chamba District. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, an MBA in Human Resources from IGNOU, and has completed the Executive Development Programme in HRM from XLRI Jamshedpur.
