A veteran HR professional with more than 25 years of experience, Sanchayan is a rare blend of someone who has traversed many worlds spanning industries and roles. He joins us from Modenik Lifestyle, a PE-backed enterprise that he landed into after journeying through companies as varied as Reliance Industries, Thomson Reuters, Eicher Consulting Services, Hutchison Essar Telecom and Vodafone. In between them, he also took a stab at entrepreneurship, founding KaryaMitr, a tech-enabled platform for skill building and training aimed at the vernacular workspace.
These myriad experiences will come in handy for Sanchayan to negotiate a complex and fast-changing media environment such as at Network 18. A post-graduate in management from XLRI Jamshedpur, Sanchayan graduated from Delhi University. He has also completed his Digital Business Leadership Programme from Cornell University.
At Network 18, Sanchayan will spend the next few weeks and months getting to know you all and coming up to speed with our geographical, linguistic and platform complexities. As he transitions into the role of CHRO, Sanchayan will be mentored and settled in by Sakthi, who has in the past eight years painstakingly assembled the structures that have helped make Network 18 a systems-driven, professional, humane and fair place to work.
Sanchayan, who lives in Bangalore with his banker wife Lipika and their son, will shift base to Mumbai.
