Intel's ongoing efforts to diversify and more equitably compensate its workforce has reached "a milestone," with the company recently achieving gender pay parity, the processor maker announced today.
"Our commitment to achieving gender pay equity is essential to making Intel a truly inclusive workplace, which - we believe - is a key factor in employee performance, productivity and engagement," said Julie Ann Overcash, Intel's vice president of human resources, in a company editorial.
“A diverse workforce and inclusive culture are essential to our evolution and growth.”
The result of the work so far on gender pay equity has shown "that Intel has a lower representation of women in senior roles," Overcash said. "This is a gap that we and the entire tech industry are working hard to address."
