Four J&K Govt Employees Terminated Over Terror Links

The Jammu and Kashmir Government has dismissed four employees, including two policemen, a teacher, and an assistant lineman in the Jal Shakti department, due to their involvement in anti-national activities. The decision, announced on Saturday, is part of a broader effort to root out individuals whose actions are deemed detrimental to the interests of the State.
A government spokesperson explained that these employees had come under the scrutiny of law enforcement and intelligence agencies for activities considered prejudicial to the State's security, including involvement in terror-related activities.
One of the dismissed employees, Abdul Rehman Dar, a selection grade constable in the police department, was found to be deeply involved in facilitating terrorist operations. Dar was implicated in the transportation of illegal arms and ammunition for terrorists. Additionally, he provided camouflage uniform cloth and other materials to these groups, exploiting his official position for criminal advantage.
Another dismissed policeman, Ghulam Rasool Bhat, also engaged in transporting illegal arms and ammunition for terrorists. Bhat, who served as a Kote NCO in the armory of a district, supplied weapons and ammunition to terrorists over an extended period. His involvement was part of a broader network of Over Ground Workers (OGWs) operating under the direction of terrorist outfits based in Pakistan.
Shabir Ahmad Wani, a teacher in the education department, was identified as an active member of Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), a proscribed separatist organisation with direct links to terrorist groups. Wani played a significant role in strengthening JeI and establishing a network among its sympathizers. His actions during the 2016 unrest in DH Pora, including inciting and leading unlawful assemblies and instigating rioting and violence, led to multiple FIRs against him. Wani continues to be a hardcore OGW for banned terror outfits, particularly Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), facilitating terrorist activities in and around Kulgam.
These dismissals highlight the government's commitment to addressing security threats posed by individuals within its ranks. By taking decisive action against those involved in anti-national activities, the Jammu and Kashmir Government aims to maintain the integrity and safety of the State.
