The new policy, known as WIN, offers various benefits to employees and their children falling under the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) category, including:

  • Assistive Technology Reimbursements: Employees can seek reimbursement for essential assistive products to enhance productivity, based on recommendations from medical specialists.
  • Employee Medical (Hospitalisation) Insurance: Employees with disabled children will remain covered in the family floater insurance scheme, regardless of age, in addition to the existing coverage.
  • Care and Compassion Leave: Employees classified as PwD are eligible for additional leave to address sickness or medical needs, apart from other contingencies.

Balaji Sreenivasan, Executive Vice-President of Human Resources at Colgate-Palmolive India, expressed the company's commitment to creating an inclusive work environment where every individual is valued and provided equal opportunities for success. He emphasised that the expanded Workplace Inclusivity Policy aims to equip employees with disabilities with the necessary resources and support to excel in their professional journeys.

To promote greater awareness and sensitivity towards underrepresented groups, the company conducts theater-based learning workshops across its offices and manufacturing sites in India. These workshops focus on themes such as unconscious bias, actionable allyship, and inclusion for all, fostering an engaging and interactive learning environment where participants are encouraged to share personal stories and commit to being allies in both professional and personal settings.
