After thorough discussions, the jury at BW HR L&D Excellence Summit and Awards 2021, scheduled to be held on the 31st of March, has decided to award Krishna Padhi, Sr.VP, Hindalco Industries as the winner for Best L&D Strategy For Blue Collar Employees.

Its even more exciting to note that Hindalco’s leadership clearly aligns with their growth plan. Leaders are supposed to take People development goal as a KRA, the goal weightage is 15% of the total 5-6 goals they take for FY. Leaders Identifies potential employees who will take up the higher role in near future. These employees are called talent pool employees. Quarterly review is done by L& D team for leaders (MDP review meeting), & talent pool employees to track the progress of their people development goal accomplishment. We accordingly strategize our learning solutions for employee TMs competency development to assist leaders in developing potential and competent team.
Hence, under the dynamic leadership of KRISHNA PADHI HINDALCO, HIRAKUD; the L&D team initiated multiple projects to enhance the employee engagement of the company, focus on HR 2020 vision which resulted in improved work culture, reduced attrition and improved employee engagement score.
