Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has reiterated the government's commitment to fulfilling its election promise of generating two million jobs over the next five years, with a majority coming from the private sector. During a review meeting at the Secretariat with officials from the skill development, MSME, industries and SERP departments, the focus was placed on boosting employment for the state’s youth. Naidu urged officials to ensure industries don’t face human resource shortages by prioritising skill training.
The Chief Minister emphasised the significant potential for large-scale employment through skill development initiatives. He also highlighted the importance of promoting work-from-home options through a hybrid system and directed officials to set up skill training centers in partnership with multinational corporations. He further requested a study on employment possibilities in flood-hit areas.
Naidu stressed that the state’s economic growth could see substantial improvement by providing job opportunities in rural regions. He encouraged collaboration between the government and industrialists to achieve this goal and asked officials to present an action plan in the next meeting focused on creating new employment opportunities across Andhra Pradesh.
