This award recognises Learning and Development teams that have demonstrated how their L&D interventions have benefitted their organisation. Entries explained the business strategy and the contribution of the team to meeting objectives. Though all had strategised it exquisitely for their organisation’s growth, but Dalmia Bharat’s lL&D Strategist Vikas Tandon won laurels for the company.
In the upcoming BW HR L&D Excellence Summit and Awards 2021, which has been scheduled for 31st of March, Vikas Tandon and his team bagged the award for Best L&D team of the year. Kudos to the team and thee cheers to their relentless efforts!
Their vision seemed crystal clear to the jury, “Unleashing the potential of everyone we touch”. Their strategic business pillars have been Growth, Profitability, Reputation and Sustainability. Also, as they opt for an inorganic growth path through M&A, Tandon is constantly keeping his respective teams abreast on the nuances of M&A.
Digging deeper on how they effectively cascade their L & D Strategy and create alignment with various employees across all levels and functions, tendon claims that;
1. We don’t ask for training needs. We ask what kind of changes we want to see in the organization in line with the business objectives on immediate, intermediate and long term basis.
2. We deliberate on what kind of interventions are required to support the business need. This discussion happens across levels across departments and we go back to the employees sharing what is our plan based on the expectation shared by them.
3. Based on the specific feedback, Live Your Potential Program rolled out enabling the talents to take charge of their life both personally as well as professionally. It has resulted in better interpersonal relationships even with cross-function teams.
4. Along with the org wide interventions, programs are also designed based on the individual development plans of our talents
At Dalmia Bharat Group, the employees follow the mantra of Learning For All and All For Learning. Hence, “cumulatively, we spend upwards of INR 5 Cr towards the learning and development of our talents across the Group companies.”
