Wipro has implemented a new policy allowing its workers to work from the office.
The IT giant has mandated that employees must be in the office three days a week or more according to the new policy. This guideline is applicable to certain firm projects starting on September 2.
In 2023, the business implemented a flexible work strategy in response to the rising number of COVID-19 instances. The strategy was designed to prioritise the health and welfare of its staff, fulfil customer demands, and support the advancement of its employees' careers.
Wipro's management reportedly sent out an internal email announcing the new policy and directing staff to follow the three-day office attendance requirement, according to a TOI article. Any worker who disregards his policies will be let go.
Any employee deviating from his policy will see their leave deducted.
Further, Wipro's HR Department has been instructed to deny any requests for work from home and to cancel any that have already been accepted.
