TANTEA Employees To Receive 20% Bonus

Workers of Tamil Nadu Tea Corporation (TANTEA) will receive a 20 per cent bonus following a decision by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to extend financial support to the employees despite the corporation’s financial struggles. This announcement benefits 3,939 employees with a total disbursement of ₹5.72 crore in bonuses.

Originally, TANTEA employees were eligible for a 10 per cent bonus this year due to the corporation’s ongoing losses, as per the determined norms. However, since employees at other corporations under the Environment, Forests and Climate Change Department — such as Tamil Nadu Rubber Corporation and Tamil Nadu Forest Plantation Corporation — qualify for a 20 per cent bonus, it was decided to provide the same rate to TANTEA employees.
