Swiggy CEO Promotes "Work-Life-Balance" And Stands Against "Hustle Culture"

In the wake of the recent EY death case of Anna Sebastian, Rohit Kapoor, CEO, Swiggy promotes work-life balance in a widely shared video, asking viewers to put family time ahead of late-night work sessions

Swiggy food and marketplace Rohit Kapoor has gone popular for suggesting that working late into the night is pointless and that sacrificing health and relationships is a waste of time during a time when the country is analysing, debating and analysing work-life balance and hustle culture.

The culture of hustle typically promotes working excessively long hours without taking breaks, which can lead to burnout, elevated anxiety, and declining mental and physical well-being. Social media users have responded well to Kapoor's alternative perspective, despite the fact that certain well-known business figures in the nation, such as N R Narayana Murthy of Infosys, advocate "hustling" as the secret to success.

Shradha Sharma, CEO of Your Story, recently posted an Instagram video in which Kapoor states that while working late is reasonable in certain situations, it shouldn't become the norm. He notes that those who claim to work until 3am in the morning frequently fail to mention that they actually get at work about 1pm in the afternoon.

"But wo jo teen baje raat ko baithte hai na wo ye nahi batate ki wo ek baje dopahar ko office ate hai," he says.

He goes on to say how much he detests this kind of lifestyle and advises people to put spending time with their loved ones and family first.
The video of Kapoor speaking on balncing work and family life has actually gone viral and garnered all good praises for his fresh perspective, where one of the user also commented, “Finally some one talked like normal to all of us.”
