SJ Group Appoints Avinash Misra As Head Of South Asia Operations

Misra joins the group with over three decades’ experience and deep expertise in the built environment sector

SJ Group, a firm in urban, infrastructure, and managed services consulting, has appointed Avinash Misra as the new Head of South Asia Operations. Misra joins SJ with over three decades’ experience and deep expertise in the built environment sector. Prior to this, he served as Chief Executive of AECOM's India operations, where he led a 4,000-strong team in Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bangalore.

 

In his new role, Misra oversees SJ’s operations in one of the world’s fastest growing markets which includes India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Charged with spearheading the group’s business growth and strategic initiatives in these markets, Misra will focus on enhancing cross-brand collaboration in the pursuit and delivery of key opportunities. With South Asia being a priority growth market, Avinash reports directly to SJ’s Group CEO Sean Chiao, and will work closely with the Chief Executives of its three business lines as well as the head of its Asia operations to implement integrated strategies.
