A viral video has surfaced showing a massive queue of students, primarily from India, outside Tandoori Flame restaurant in Canada, eagerly waiting for job interviews. The video, which has gained widespread attention on social media, shows thousands of hopefuls vying for positions as waiters and service staff, raising concerns about the employment challenges faced by international students in Canada.
Among those in line was Agamvir Singh, a student who expressed his frustration. "I arrived at noon, and the line was already massive. We applied online and were told interviews would be held, but that didn’t happen. People are just showing up. I don't think there are real job opportunities here. It’s really tough," Singh said.
Another student echoed these sentiments, saying, "It’s terrible; everyone is searching for a job, and no one is finding one. Many of my friends have been here for 2-3 years and still don’t have steady employment." This frustration reflects the growing disillusionment many students face after moving to Canada in search of better prospects.
The video, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the account @MeghUpdates, was captioned, “Students leaving India for Canada with rosy dreams need serious introspection!”
Viewers reacted strongly to the footage, with comments highlighting the harsh realities of finding employment in Canada. "This is a brutal reality check for anyone thinking Canada is all milk and honey," one person commented. Others shared empathy, with one saying, “It’s heartbreaking to see so many students struggling to find work.”
