On 28 October, global BPO player Genpact announced the opening of a new office in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. This expansion is projected to generate up to 5,000 jobs for local talent over the next five years, enhancing the company’s footprint in India and advancing its focus on digital and AI-driven solutions.
The Jodhpur hub will serve as a center for delivering advanced technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation services to clients worldwide. This investment aligns with Genpact's strategy of tapping into larger and more diverse talent pools across India, fostering both innovation and sustainable growth.
Piyush Mehta, Chief Human Resources Officer and Country Manager for India at Genpact, emphasised the importance of local talent, saying, “By drawing on Jodhpur’s rich talent pool, we’re not only expanding our operations but also positioning ourselves to deliver cutting-edge AI and digital transformation services to clients globally.”
This expansion reflects Genpact’s commitment to building a diverse and skilled workforce across India, as seen in previous facilities launched in Madurai and Warangal. With 70 per cent of its global workforce based in India, Genpact’s AI-first strategy heavily relies on the country’s talent.
Beyond job creation, the Jodhpur facility will provide skill development opportunities for local professionals, supporting the growth of digital expertise and contributing to long-term economic advancement in the region.
