Financial Software And Systems Appoints Vishal Maru As Global Services Head

Financial Software & Systems has proudly announced the appointment of Vishal Maru as its new Global Services Head, effective July 2024.

Vishal brings a wealth of expertise spanning pivotal areas of FSS’s operations, particularly in digital payments encompassing card issuance and merchant acceptance services. His alignment with the organization's goals and vision is seamless.

Previously, Vishal held the role of Executive Vice President – Merchant Services and Digital Payments for India and South Asia at Worldline. A Commerce graduate from Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce, Pune, and a Postgraduate from VAMNICOM, Pune, he has also undertaken a management development program from IIM Lucknow.

Commencing his career in 1999, Vishal has held various positions at Worldline, Global Payments Asia Pacific, ICICI Bank, Shell Gas India, and Hindustan Unilever. His tenure has been marked by successful stewardship in sales and business operations, significantly enhancing market share, profitability, and revenue growth across these organizations.

With over two decades of experience, Vishal boasts a proven track record in launching new businesses and products, and forging strategic partnerships to augment service offerings. Throughout his career, he has exhibited exceptional leadership, adeptly guiding and motivating teams, while nurturing key relationships with senior management at banks, schemes, and corporates.

In his new capacity, Vishal Maru will oversee global services, including sales, business operations, IT infrastructure, quality assurance, and information security. His contributions are poised to fuel the organization's growth and profitability

The company recently announced the launch of its payments technology platform, FSS BLAZE™ in the Middle East to facilitate efficient payment solutions in the region. FSS BLAZE™ was previously launched in India in 2023. With this platform, FSS aims to tap into the USD 357 million digital payments market in India and create a sizable presence in other regions in due course.
