CIFDAQ Appoints Muthuswamy Iyer As Chief Compliance Officer

CIFDAQ has appointed Muthuswamy Iyer as its Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). With an impressive career spanning over 25 years mainly in the securities market and Web3/ blockchain sectors, which include pivotal roles at WazirX, Edelweiss Broking Ltd,  Karvy Stock Broking Ltd, Angel Broking Ltd and National Stock Exchange of India Ltd, Muthuswamy brings extensive experience in regulatory compliance, adherence to guidelines under PMLA to his new position at CIFDAQ.

In his last assignment as Senior Director(Compliance) with WazirX, he spearheaded the company’s regulator compliance initiatives. Muthuswamy has held leadership positions in Compliance at Edelweiss Broking Ltd, Karvy Stock Broking Ltd and Angel Broking Ltd, where he developed robust compliance systems for stock broking, wealth management, and depository services. His ability to ensure regulatory adherence while maintaining operational efficiency has earned him a reputation for integrity and diligence across the financial services industry.

As CCO at CIFDAQ, Muthuswamy will oversee regulatory compliance and risk management, ensuring the company continues to adhere to global regulatory standards. He will also manage CIFDAQ’s AML controls and liaise with regulatory authorities, building upon his proven track record of creating and sustaining compliance cultures across diverse financial institutions.
