Bangalore Dominates Frontend, Backend, DevOps And Data Science Talent Sourcing In India: Instahyre Report

Under the Frontend job function, Bangalore tops in the sourcing of 32% of JavaScript, 32% of CSS, 33% of Angular and 32% of HTML professionals

 In today’s ever-challenging technological world, the demand for promising candidates to fill tech roles is showing a significant rise. Despite navigating the uncertainties and layoff announcements, tech hiring is continuing to show resilience and an optimistic growth trajectory across the Indian IT industry.  As per recent market stats, IT giants are planning to increase their workforce to meet the burgeoning demand for IT services in India. On average, these tech companies are projecting to add anywhere between 40,000 and 50,000 new employees across multiple tech functions in the future.


According to Instahyre’s report, Bangalore is the dominant sourcing location for multiple BFSI tech skills - Frontend, Backend, DevOps and Data Science, followed by Pune and Hyderabad. Known for its disruptive startup ecosystem, tech MNCs, and a steady influx of technology innovation, the city has become the go-to destination for companies seeking top-tier technology professionals.

Under the Frontend job function, Bangalore tops in the sourcing of 32% of JavaScript, 32% of CSS, 33% of Angular and 32% of HTML professionals.  Simultaneously, each function is followed by Pune, Hyderabad, Mumbai and NCR to hire tech talent. A similar trend prevails in the backend function as Bangalore tops in tech talent sourcing with 32% professionals from Data Structure, 33% for Java, 34% for Python and 33% for C++ professionals.


The Instahyre report further unveiled that Bangalore also tops as the source of talent for roles in DevOps, providing more than 30% of professionals skilled in Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins and AWS.


Under the Data Science role, Bangalore is again a great source, hosting more than 30% talent for Machine Learning, Computer Vision, NLP and Data Visualization, followed by Pune and Hyderabad. Furthermore, the city also tops in sourcing of Security professionals who are proficient in extremely vital tech security skills like Info Security, Security Testing, App Security, and Network Security.


Apart from this, there has been an exponential boom in the data generated across industries. This creates a massive demand for Data Science professionals across industries. However, when it comes to talent sourcing, the Instahyre report unveils that Bangalore dominates this space too, providing people well-versed in skills like Data Analysis, Warehousing, Data Collection, and Data Extraction.  


In addition, the city also leads tech hiring within the Networking space, providing skilled talent from Network Analysis, Network Testing, Network Admin and Troubleshooting functions and QA + Risk skills including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Risk Assessment, and Risk Management.


With a robust technology ecosystem, the city continues to be the preferred destination for companies seeking skilled BFSI tech talent across various functions. As the demand for these specialized roles continues to rise, the city’s ability to consistently produce top-tier talent puts India on the global stage, not just in terms of technological output but also as a source of talent.
