Q.What programs does Zeta follows for the development and up-skilling of its employees?

Zeta focuses on creating learning paths for individuals. The learning path focuses on their roles - to grow in the current role and move into the next role. We use multiple sources to understand learning needs and gaps e.g. Employee Engagement Surveys, Exit Interviews, Pulse Surveys and Performance Reviews. Basis the needs, we built monthly calendar programs where anyone can opt to attend as well as programs tailored for teams or specific individuals which is mandatory.

Q.How does Zeta sets apart from the existing solutions in the market? -

Zeta Express offers a rich cafeteria experience filled with convenience to employees, organizations and cafeteria vendors. The innovative use of technology in the Express Kiosk and Express Remote ensure that employees do not waste time and cafeterias remain crowd-free. Vendors are also able to process more orders in significantly less time. By being a fully cashless solution making payments for employees and accepting them for vendors are also made much simpler. Since payments can be made directly to the vendor, organizations are also saving the time and effort that would normally require to manage vendor payments.

Finally, Zeta Express® can be customized to suit the needs of an organization. From the scale at which the system is employed to how employees pay for food, all the specifics can be tailor-made to suit company requirements and policies. Zeta Express® is also the only solution to turn RFID access cards into payment instruments. While for employees this means quick payments and removes the need for additional payment instruments for employees, but by choosing the RFID-based Zeta Super ID, organizations with strict security requirements can ensure that no foreign objects are integrated to make cafeteria payments as the RFID cards used are the access cards issued to employees. o How does Zeta maintain its culture of Trust, Value and Service?

-There is frequent communication around updates, developments and plans through regular town halls and TGIFs.

-Employees have the opportunity to give their inputs into the projects they are working on.

-Employees are recognized through various channels for performance excellence.

-We trust employees to manage their time and work. There is no concept of fixed start time. Employees and teams have the flexibility to decide their work schedules and time.

Q.What is the kind of resources followed by Zeta from order management to payment?
Zeta platform’s versatility has allowed us to develop several payment methods that offer convenience, flexibility and suit user preferences, without compromising on security. It has made it easy for employees to spend grants they receive as part of their company’s tax-saving employee benefits programme and has also allowed us to improve transparency and make accepting payments more convenient. The technology used, ranging from NFC and RFID technology to a simple smartphone camera, add new dimensions to the way we give and receive. E.g.

Zeta Kiosk- Physical kiosk using which users can pay at their company cafeteria/kitchen and receive paper receipts as confirmation

* USER: Selects food items he/she wants through the Zeta Express button inside the Zeta app

* Scans the order confirmation code using the Kiosk to get the auto-printed paper receipt

* The amount is deducted directly from the users’ account

* Hands the receipt over to the kitchen staff as confirmation of payment

o Zeta Remote Ordering- Food selection, payment & real-time tracking through the Zeta app

* MERCHANT: Sets up menu items using the Zeta Store app or Web POS

* USER: Selects food items by tapping on the Zeta Express® button inside the Zeta mobile app

* Reviews the order, checks out and completes the payment through the app

* Tracks real-time order status through the Zeta app

Q.What are the top 3 key points you look at while hiring an employee? -
Creating an impact by what we do, is the philosophy that drives us at Zeta. We feel that passion, agility, problem-solving attitude are vital ingredients for contributing to this philosophy. We lay a lot of emphasis on hiring the right person for the job. For us the PO fit (person- organization fit) is as important as PJ fit (person - job fit). In fact, the guiding principle for the hiring manager is “Do not settle for a candidate until you are 100% confident”


Q.Discuss how zeta has bought a revolution around food-tech space through leveraging technology?
Zeta launched Zeta Express® in 2017 which is a smartphone-based meal ordering and payment solution that is revolutionizing the corporate cafeteria space. Employees end up wasting up to 8 hours a week, waiting in lines, typically unaware of the menu items that are in stock and are forced to deal with cash and loose change. Cafeteria vendors have to manually accept orders from thousands of employees and have to face the same hassles of handling cash and loose change too. In addition to this they also run the risk of pilferage and physically count the days collections and tally the books. Finally, Admin managers in organisations have to deal with crowded premises and generally unhappy employees and vendors.
Zeta Express® suite of solutions solves these problems through four scalable, customisable solutions that help automate the ordering process and make payments cashless. With the Zeta Express® Kiosk and the Zeta Express® Remote, employees can place orders without having to enter the cafeteria. Employees can view the menus available for the day on their smartphones and make payments as well through the Zeta app. This also brings easy order processing and payment acceptance for the vendor. With these solutions employees only need to visit the cafeteria to pick up their orders, resulting in productive employees and crowd-free cafeterias. Finally, with the entire Express suite enabling cashless payments, cafeteria vendors needn't face the hassles of dealing with cash or run the risk of pilferage. Collecting payments via Zeta Express® also enables easy bookkeeping and the amount collected can be directly sent to the vendor’s bank account.

Q. After a huge success in Indian market, what are your international expansion plans?

We are India based fintech company developing solutions for the Indian market. We are not looking at expanding into other countries as of now.
