In order to guarantee that employees understand what is expected of them, Air India has opted to clearly outline job descriptions as well as set precise goals for its workforce. It is accomplishing this with the assistance of a new performance-management system for non-flying workers.
It is an effort by the Tata Group to revitalize the national carrier while also increasing transparency and fairness in the evaluation procedure. This digitized performance-management approach, part of the carrier's Rise.AI project, will clearly communicate what employees are required to deliver.
The system will allow a clear definition of job descriptions and will put forward performance targets for the workers to chase.
The new management system will be aligned with the already existing Vihaan.AI goals of Air India. The goals are focused on growing the airline’s fleet and revamping the customer proposition.
In the new roster system, the crew will be able to switch flights and manage accommodation during layovers. This was a move towards increasing the carriers' domestic market share to up to 30 per cent.
