HR today plays a significant role in Employer Branding by not only being a Brand Builder but also ensuring that each employee becomes an active brand ambassador of the organization.
To discuss the pertinent issues related to HR professionals, BW Businessworld recently organized BW People 40under40 Summit and Awards.
Dr. A Velumani, Creator, Thyrocare spoke at the virtual summit. The theme of his keynote address was “How leaders will manage cross-functional collaboration and communication.”
Velumani remarked that HR is responsible for 3 main categories- creating, improving competencies, and sustaining efficiencies. He said, “An organization’s efficiencies are enhanced when everybody in the organization is on the same page. It needs multiple layers and each layer should have well-defined roles. Thinking is important. Without thinkers, brands can't be built.”
Speaking about how the role of training has evolved over some time in HR, he said, “Training has become important for HR especially when you have procured freshers. This will make them capable of working.”
He also shared that his organization provides the cheapest services in India with 40 percent profitability. This has been possible only because of the efficiencies of various teams.
