Warner Bros Discovery's IDC To Create 1200 Jobs In Hyderabad

Warner Bros Discovery is going to set up a development centre in Hyderabad. Setting up a hub fostering innovation and creativity in Hyderabad would create 1200 jobs in the first year of its creation itself said IT Minister KT Rama Rao.

Future of media and entertainment sector in Telangana bright

Warner Bros. Discovery is a premier global media and entertainment company, that offers audiences the world's most differentiated and complete portfolio of content, brands and franchises across television, film, streaming and gaming.  Their impressive portfolio includes HBO, CNN, TLC, Discovery, Discovery Plus, WB, Eurosport, Animal Planet, Cartoon Network, Cinemax, HGTV, and Quest.

Collaborating with such industry giants promises groundbreaking ventures that will shape the future of the media and entertainment sector in Telangana, said Rao.

With the Ramoji Film City already creating jobs in the Telegu film industry, the establishment of IDC from one of the most iconic global entertainment brands will give a further impetus to employment generation in the media and entertainment sector in the state of Telangana.

Employment generation a natural feature of thriving state economy

Majority of Indian states are looking to attract strategic foreign investment during a time when the Indian economy has held relatively strong as major global economies are facing inflationary pressures while some even suffer from a poor demographic dividend.

States like Telangana promise a thriving investment destination in India on account of robust infrastructure, business-friendly policies, a skilled workforce, and a strategic location.

And when a state develops on the industrial and business front, jobs opportunities are bound to increase as a natural consequence unless one is not living in a world where automation takes precedence.
