UST Empowers Staff With 'Kalaripayattu' Training To Foster Physical And Mental Well Being

UST, a renowned provider of digital transformation solutions, is providing martial arts instruction to its staff at its Thiruvananthapuram location. Over 120 staff have enlisted, and 50 have already received training at the UST Thiruvananthapuram campus in Kalaripayattu, also known as the 'Mother of all martial arts,' according to a press statement issued on Thursday.

Gurukkal Dr. S. Mahesh, a fifth generation Kalari Guru (master) from the famed Agasthyam Kalari, who has been teaching Kalaripayattu for 127 years, provides training in the ancient martial art of Kalaripayattu as well as thoughts on its rich legacy.

Kalaripayattu, which originated in Kerala, is a comprehensive technique that promotes physical fitness, mental resilience, and emotional harmony. UST personnel will be given practical stress-free and healthy self-defense techniques as part of the training programme, which will improve personal safety and self-confidence, according to the company. The 'Nalludal Health and Fitness Programme,' created by Agasthyam Kalari, is based on Kalaripayattu principles and promotes health and fitness for people of all ages, according to the company.
