Teleperformance Aims To Employ 15,000 Workers In India

Currently operating in 15 cities, the company plans to extend its presence to 20 cities by year-end

French business process management (BPM) giant Teleperformance is set to embark on a major expansion in India, aiming to increase its workforce by 15,000, bringing the total to over 1,00,000 by the end of the year.

Currently operating in 15 cities, Teleperformance plans to extend its presence to 20 cities by year-end, with new centers being established in Lucknow, Raipur, and Jaipur, each accommodating more than 1,000 employees.

The company has already set up a center in Noida, scheduled to become operational in the next two months, and is in the advanced stages of evaluating a site in Lucknow. This expansion into Tier-II and Tier-III cities is part of a strategy to tap into a talent pool that tends to have longer tenure compared to those in metro areas.

With 90,000 employees in India, Teleperformance plans to add a total of 60,000 employees over the next three years, driven by robust growth in the US markets. The company aims to add approximately 15,000 employees this year and an additional 25,000 in each of the next two years, reaching a headcount of 1,05,000 by the end of the current year.

Globally, Teleperformance employs around 5,00,000 people and provides services to clients in various sectors including financial services, travel, hospitality, technology, and retail. Notably, about 90 per cent of the company’s generative artificial intelligence development work for global clients is conducted by its workforce in India.
