Tangedco Employees To Get 6% Salary Hike: Senthilbalaji
The ongoing Tangedco wage dispute has culminated in a settlement after rounds of negotiations between trade unions and Electricity Minister V Senthilbalaji,
The parties have agreed to a 6 percent hike in terms of revision in pay, Employees who have completed a minimum of 10 years of service stand to gain more as they will be entitled to an additional 3 per cent for all those who completed 10 years of service.
The revision in payment terms entails a hike of 623 crore and would be borne by Tangedco.
"About 66,548 employees will benefit from the service weightage," he added. He noted that in a couple of days, the tripartite agreement would be signed the presence of the labour commissioner", said Senthilbalaji.
