Skill Ministry Plans To Train 300,000 Migrants
The Prime Minister commenced an extraordinary activity program on June 20, under the Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyan, which plans to give pertaining to in any event 300,000 transient specialists who have come back to their home states in March. The preparation for incompetent laborers will be given under two territories — momentary preparing or STT to be given to 1.5 lakh transient specialists, and preparing under acknowledgment of earlier learning (RPL) to be given to another 1.5 lakh.
The STTs will involve between 300 to 500 hours of preparing, while, for RPL it will fluctuate between 12 to 18 hours of preparing. To meet the objectives, the Ministry has permitted the states to move short courses or STTs to RPLs. For each STT that must be dropped to meet the deadline, three extra RPLs might be taken up.
