President Draupadi Murmu has started a startup platform ‘herSTART’ for women entrepreneurs of Gujrat University, Murmu also laid the foundation of various other projects related to tribal empowerment in terms of their education and welfare. HerStart is on flagship program of Gujarat University Startup and Entrepreneurship Council (GUSEC) that will help the women out there fulfil their entrepreneurial aspirations. On her two-day tour of Gujarat, President Murmu launched numerous projects worth Rs. 1,330 crores at the GMERS campus in Gandhinagar, She called these initiatives to be helpful for the people’s welfare across the state.
The President laid the foundation stone for Super Specialty Hospital, Critical Care Centre at Gandhinagar Civil hospital, GMERS hospital, and a hostel at Narmada besides various irrigation and civic projects among others. Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel were also present on the occasion.
President Mumrmu appreciated the efforts of Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat forspreading awareness about natural farming, She said farmers of Gujarat have come up with several successful experiments in the field of agriculture development. Murmu also mentioned that Gujarat holds a 20 per cent share in National Agriculture Produce.
