Launched in January 2016, PeopleStrong’s HR app ‘Alt work-life’ has been spearheading the transition of Indian organizations to mobile HR for over two years now. The App recently touched another landmark by touching the 1, 00,000 downloads mark all the while retaining an average rating of 4.2 on Google Play Store. It is the only App in the HCM space to do so globally and thus has been able to provide an alternate and more engaging way of managing the work-life to its end users - the employees. .Be it managing employee time and time-off, reimbursements, recruitment, referrals, or employee queries, anything that an employee needs to have a hassle-free work-life is available in the App. The best thing is the App’s interface which is simple, clean and intuitive, which has contributed the most to the App’s success.
Speaking on the milestone achievement, Vishal Saha, Founding Member and Chief Technology Officer PeopleStrong said, “Vishal Saha, Founding Member and Chief Technology Officer, PeopleStrong shared, “We have always believed that for HR to contribute the most to business - employee experience and productivity are the two key areas the focus should be on. And this was the premise on which we designed the mobile App of Alt work-life. The idea was to provide everything an employee needs to manage his work life on a tap. Special focus was also placed on keeping the UX so simple that there is no “Training” needed for an employee to use the app. We are glad to see that our efforts worked and the app was loved by the employees. Today we have a product stickiness of approx... 40% which is exceptional for a product in our category.”
According to a recently conducted study, an average employee spends about 20-30% of their time in work-life transactions, a number that drastically brings down an organisation’s overall productivity. Switching to ALT Worklife on the other hand, has fruitfully reduced this time by over50%. The app has been constructed with a user-friendly interface that enables employees in completing a task in the least number of taps. A task as simple as marking attendance on an average takes 2 minutes with the added burden of being physically present at the workstation. However, with Alt Worklife marking attendances can be done in flip of a second. And this is just the beginning. The team aims to continue this effort and with the Alt One platform which was launched earlier this year would be able to provide a more comprehensive experience to the users.
Businesses are always on the lookout for increasing employee productivity; at the same time provide an unparalleled experience to them. What better than to aid employees in directing more time to prolific activities, instead of involving them in activities that consumes undue time?
