The National Human Resources Development Network (NHRDN) proudly hosted the highly anticipated NHRDN Run 2023, centered around the theme '#RunForSustainableFuture.' This momentous marathon took place today, on 7th October at the prestigious International Tech Park, Sector 59, Gurgaon, commencing at 5:30 a.m.
Pooja Rani Bohra, gold medalist in Asian Championship 2021 and Olympian participant 2021 joined the run as a chief guest, and later facilitated the winners with awards. The resounding success of the event was underscored by the participation of over 1,000 individuals hailing from diverse backgrounds and age groups and representing renowned organisations.
“Hosting this event in an informal setting through the NHRDN Delhi-NCR Chapter was a deliberate choice. This initiative is meant to inspire generations to prioritise their fitness, whether in their corporate endeavors or personal lives. The marathon's theme carries a powerful message about sustainability, urging us all to value our ecosystem and environment. The NHRDN Run, a symbol of unity, well-being and corporate camaraderie, marked an extraordinary occasion for runners, organisations, and institutions alike. Diverse participants from various walks of life converged to partake in this noteworthy event, aimed at raising awareness about the paramount importance of sustainability in our global landscape.
The marathon began with an invigorating Zumba warm-up session, ensuring that participants were adequately prepared for the challenges ahead. The event offered three distinct categories for runners, encompassing a 10-kilometer run, a 5-kilometer run, and a 5-kilometer walkathon, making it accessible to individuals of all age groups.
Distinguished officials from the Gurugram Police department took the opportunity to address participants on pivotal societal topics, including substance abuse, cybercrime awareness, adherence to traffic regulations, and the significance of incorporating physical activity and sports into daily routines to foster a healthier lifestyle.
The event venue was equipped with comprehensive first-aid facilities and a dedicated recovery zone, providing physiotherapy services to participants post-run. Furthermore, attendees had the chance to partake in various revitalising activities, including traditional 'dandiya' and dance warmup.
The NHRDN Run 2023 culminated with an awards felicitation ceremony, recognising the outstanding achievements of participants across various categories, including the Top 3 Women and Men in the 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer runs.
