Rishi Raj Gupta, the APAC head of human resources for Meta India, has resigned to explore new opportunities. Gupta, who joined Meta in 2017, led HR business partnerships for all of Meta's operations in India and was a key member of the Indian leadership team.
A Meta spokesperson confirmed that Gupta has decided to leave his role as HR director for India/APAC at Meta to pursue a new phase of his career. Over the past seven years, Gupta has been a key member of the India leadership team, significantly contributing to the organisation's growth and development across the region.
While the exact number of Meta employees in India is unclear, media reports estimate a workforce of 500-600. Throughout his tenure, Gupta played a crucial role in developing and supporting various functions across the Asia-Pacific region for Meta.
Before his time at Meta, Gupta was an HR leader at the pharmaceutical company Cipla.
