On the occasion of National Youth Day, McDonald’s India – North and East has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering the younger generation with the theme: ‘Arise, Awake, and Realise the Power You Hold.’ This initiative underscores the company's dedication to equipping youth with the tools and opportunities necessary to excel in their professional journeys.
In line with this vision, McDonald’s India’s ‘McDonald’s for Youth’ initiative is not just about job creation—it’s about building meaningful careers for underprivileged youth. The program emphasises offering world-class training, on-the-job education, and skill development, enabling participants to gain both confidence and expertise for their professional and personal growth.
“With nearly 80 per cent of our workforce under the age of 24, we are privileged to shape the journeys of young individuals,” a company spokesperson shared. “Each year, we invest over 90,000 hours in training our managers, focusing on operational excellence and leadership development. These efforts not only foster a mindset of continuous improvement but also prepare our young team members to take on bigger roles in the future.”
The initiative highlights McDonald’s India’s focus on creating pathways for youth to build meaningful careers. The company’s efforts go beyond employment, helping underprivileged youth realise their potential through exposure to a structured and skill-oriented work environment.
As the company celebrates the indomitable spirit of India’s youth on this special day, its mission to empower and uplift continues to inspire future generations to “Arise, Awake, and Realise the Power You Hold.”
