Khatabook, India's fastest-growing fintech startup, has announced a Mental Health Break for its employees for a week from 25th September to 3rd October 2021. Khatabook had an eventful first three quarters of 2021 with acquisition of Biz Analyst, Series C Funding, rolling out the first ESOP buyback plan, and growing the team by 100+ employees on top of the regular business activities.
Ravish Naresh, CEO and Co-founder at Khatabook wrote in his internal mail to employees, "It has been exciting 8 months of work in 2021 at Khatabook. We have been working from home with no in-person social interactions with our colleagues. This coupled with other pandemic-induced situations on a personal front, may have caused stress to individuals. The objective behind this prolonged company-wide break is to give everybody an opportunity to unwind and return to work reinvigorated.”
Employee well being is an essential part of Khatabook’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and the startup believes in providing mental health breaks to employees at regular intervals. Previously the startup had announced the break from 25 December 2020 to 4 January 2021.
“We are also working towards providing you an option to work from the office when we return from the break." added Ravish in his internal email to employees.
As the company resumes work from 4th October 2021, Khatabook plans to reopen its office for optional attendance by fully vaccinated employees. The startup will have a detailed guideline around the timings and capacity etc., for the office reopening. In the past months, Khatabook has organised extensive vaccination drives for its employees.
