Indian Businesses To Get Push In Coming Festive Season

Companies across the country are hiring and planning to expand as the festive season in India is around the corner. The country is going to celebrate the festival open and complete mode after whole two years, firms also see it as an opportunity to compensate for the revenue loss during the pandemic time. The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), which says its 80 million small-and-medium-business members generate annual sales of more than $1.5 trillion, forecasts sales this Diwali season will be at least 30% higher than last year.

Every home in the country is going to buy new clothes, gazette, and electronic appliances on the occasion of Durga Puja and Diwali, the e-commerce companies Flipkart and Amazon have already announced their festive season sale.

 Smartr founder, Yogesh Dhingra, said "We aim to strengthen connectivity beyond the metro cities to bring about better accessibility and ease of doing business for smaller and medium enterprises in tier-two and -three cities,". Dunzo executive Mrunmayi added "We have planned our inventory in such a way that we stock our assortments based on the festivals that are celebrated in each and every city," 

Ecom Express, which delivers products on behalf of e-commerce firms, said it had doubled its parcel-processing capacity to 6 million units per day and expects volumes to soar up to 65% in the festive season, with much of the growth coming from smaller cities.

Automobile ventures like Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, and Tech Mahindra also planning to launch their new models in the festive season amidst surged demand.
