"I Am No Longer Available After Work Hours," States A Furious Employee

Recently, a frustrated IT worker has made it to a viral news with his bold move against his company’s strict “no work from home” policy.

Since companies have been pressuring employees to report to office as usual even though their job roles can work at best even from home as well, hence an employee made a bold move against companies “no work from home” policy by deleting his email and teams from his phone application.

The post read, “My job recently told me that even during the snowstorm we got earlier this week, I am not allowed to work from home at all. Even though I work in IT and do everything remotely, they want me in the office. So, I deleted Teams and my email off my phone. I am no longer available after hours.”

He further explained how he trapped his boss's asks upon their company policy stating “no work at home policy,” hence upon his reaching out to him for some urgent work while at home, the employee reiterated company's policy of not being allowed to work from home.

The employee's share response to his boss's unfair ask took the internet on fire. Respondents from all over. Many commenters even praised the employee’s response as fair and reasonable and highlighted the benefits of working from home, including time and cost savings on commuting.
