Dunzo Further Defers Salary Payments To October

Dunzo, the Reliance and Google-backed fast commerce firm, has deferred pending employee compensation payments for June and July to October.

According to an internal email obtained by Moneycontrol, the company has informed its employees that their pending payments will be transferred by the end of the first week of October. The company had previously informed its employees that their salary for June and July would be paid in September.

According to the report, the company has also pledged to pay 12 per cent interest each year on outstanding debts.

The email stated that the pending salaries due on 4th September for the months of June and July will be paid in the first week of October, with a 12 per cent p.a. interest rate, which will now be calculated for an additional month, according to the report.

This is the third substantial delay in distributing employee salaries by the fast commerce firm. Dunzo also missed the 20th July deadline for clearing the due pay before the September deadline.
